November’s Theme: The Spaciousness of Gratitude: Reiki’s Remedy for Sadness

Here’s why….

It is not happiness that makes us grateful. It is gratefulness that makes us happy. Every moment is a gift.
— Dalai Lama XIV, The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World
The most important quality to have toward your day is gratitude for what you have experienced, even for what was hard and what allowed you to learn and grow.
— Dalai Lama XIV, The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World

Over the last decade, there is much we have learned about the physiology of gratitude, and the lasting benefits a gratitude practice offers to our bodies, hearts and minds. And the more we can engage gratitude in ways that go much deeper than the surface-level, the more profound the benefit to our well being and the health of our relationships. We can begin to feel the truth of the Dalai Lama’s bold statement quoted above, naming gratitude as the most important quality in our daily lives.

The System of Reiki can help us get there…

Gratitude is at the center point of the Precepts that guide the system of Reiki, associated in particular with alleviating the feeling of sadness, leading us into generosity and expressions of compassion.

In this 60-minute gathering, I’ll share insights on the way gratitude operates within the system of Reiki, and share practices to help us develop a deep and lasting relationship with gratitude in our daily lives.
