A dynamic collaboration between the subtle sweetness of Reiki energy and the somatic experience of soundscape, (improvised sonic journeys). Designed to meet each of us where we are in the moment, this experience invites you to bring whatever you are carrying, and relax into a container that can hold it with you.
Whether you are allergic to woo woo, or can't wait to dance with the Universe again, these sonic journeys will rock your senses and inspire your imagination.
What to Expect:
Reiki & Soundscapes is an immersive, contemplative community journey, taking place at Heartscapes Studio, on the second floor of our home. After taking off your shoes, come on upstairs and make yourself comfy on a floor mat, back-jack, or chair. Michaela will open the circle with a short meditation to set intentions and help you really arrive.
Then your journey begins: an extended, evolving moment where you get to drop into your inner… now. Michaela circulates among participants, offering Reiki energy work with light physical touch or no physical touch, according to your preference. Using acoustic instruments and novel sound tools, Leaf weaves a sonic story, a soundscape influenced by the season and the energy you bring to the room. More adventurous than a sound bath, these soundscapes use a broad sonic pallet: calling in soothing sounds for your tender heart and dissonance to till the untended places. Each unique sound journey invites you to explore a wider and wider inner landscape.
The combination of shared experience, reiki, and soundscape can be delightfully surprising; inner messages, profound insights, deeper peace, and unstuck energy have all been reported by past participants. At the end of the journey, with softened hearts, we come together to share a little about our inner adventures. Some folks linger, with tea, chocolate, and good company. Most participants leave with a quiet glow.
Guided by expert ritual-weavers Leaf Wild & Michaela Daystar. With decades of ritual, art and healing experience between them, Michaela and Leaf weave a web of possibility and connection.

Meet Your Guides:
Leaf Wild is the founder of Wildish Work Counseling. An educator, counselor, father, artist, and community builder in Davis California, Leaf received his terminal art degree at UC Santa Cruz and his counseling education at Interchange Counseling institute, where he later worked as faculty. He has a genuine warmth and care for his clients, combined with an irreverent, spirited nature that turns healing “work” into a joyful adventure.
Michaela Daystar founded HeartScapes after 11 years of helping university students increase their capacity for social justice. At the intersection of self-reflection, spiritual practice, and social action, she teaches the system of Reiki as a pathway to understanding, healing, and expressing our true self, and adapts trauma-informed principles for Reiki practitioners. Michaela continues her studies of Reiki with the International House of Reiki, and holds a Master’s Degree in Social Justice Leadership.
