September’s Theme: Beauty, Creativity & Living True to Our Way & Being
Here’s why….
“It is the use of creativity which heals the creative wound.”
Despite humanity’s naturally creative nature, many of us struggle to access the creativity inside of us, or resist identifying ourselves as creative. Perhaps we feel constricted by narrow definitions of creativity, perceiving ourselves as left out of those definitions. Or perhaps we consider ourselves creative, yet its been a while since we’ve felt that sweet spark of creative energy shining inside.
In her impactful book The Artist’s Way, Julia Cameron suggests that many of us suffer from what she calls a “creativity wound,” inflicted in childhood through various experiences, and resulting in our disconnection from a powerful and inherent birthright of humanity.
And yet….
We are naturally drawn towards beauty in all aspects of our lives. Beauty broadly defined as a sensation that touches us in our inner, interconnected, intuitive places. It is a powerful aspect of our way and our being as people to express ourselves creatively, in every endeavor we take on. As individuals, and as communities, we are most healthy, whole and effective when we are able to source our creative spark with ease and fluidity.
The system of Reiki can help us get there…
The system of Reiki offers practices designed to remember the wholeness of our True Self, to live true to our way and our being, and thereby reclaim our creative nature as a resource for living a fulfilled life.
In this 60-minute gathering, we’ll explore the connections between the system of Reiki from it’s Japanese origins and the process of healing our creativity wounds.
