In the first degree Reiki training (Shoden), we build the container within which the system of Reiki flourishes: Dedicated self-practice through foundational teachings, breathing and energy techniques, palm healing techniques, and spiritual blessings. Okuden Reiki II (second degree) training now guides you along a pathway into the inner teachings of the system of Reiki, taught from the Japanese foundation, toward 'Being' Reiki in and for the world around you.
Okuden (Japanese for "inner teachings") expands your practice by incorporating Heaven and Heart Ki (energy), introduces the first three Reiki symbols and mantras as meditative tools to deepen your practice, and explores the paradox and techniques of “distance” healing through Reiki.
Prerequisite: Reiki I certification. NOTE: There are notable differences between practicing Reiki from the Western perspective, vs. its Japanese origins. If you received your Reiki I certification in Western Reiki, we will provide information and practices to orient you to Reiki from the perspective of its Japanese origins. Need more info? Let’s have a conversation about it! You can schedule a phone call here.
In this training you'll receive:
Deeper engagement with Reiki meditation and energy practices, and introduction to second degree practices
Teachings on the paradox of distance healing, and training in techniques for distance Reiki sessions
Introduction of the first three symbols of the system of Reiki, and exploration of the symbols and mantras as healing practices
Certification as a Reiki II Practitioner, and a complete manual including teachings, practices and additional resources.
Open invitation to join Practitioner Gatherings to deepen your learning and practice in community
